Aviam Lda was set up in 2008 by a group of Italian and Mozambican entrepreneurs in order to start up a complete chain for the cultivation of Jatropha curcas and the production of vegetable oil.

Aviam intends to meet to many requirements:

• satisfy the alternative energy demands of the European market (by the 2020, 10% of primary consumption of Energy must derive from renewable sources);

• promote and encourage social growth in developing areas;

• create employment and provide local population with specific skills.
